Davis College Lady Falcons Preview

Second-year coach Larry Ellis is counting on the influx of some new players along with a few holdovers from last season's 4-13 team.

Back is 5-foot-9 junior Bekah Havens, who averaged 20 points a game before her season ended in January due to a cracked fibia.

Danielle Wright, a sophomore, also returns after joining the team during the spring semester last year, providing a defensive presence.

The Falcons feature three new starters, 6-foot-4 sophomore Marisa Wickham and guards Katie O'Connor and Cindy Ellis.

Wickham, who played for Utica College during the 2009-10 season, is averaging 12.5 points, 13.5 rebounds and 4.5 blocks thus far through two games, both losses.

The backups include a pair of seniors, Kayla Cline and Candace Thornton, who will provide considerable minutes. Junior Erin Kelleher is another returner, while freshmen Kelsey Sheldon and Tabitha Taylor should see playing time.
