A Note from Dr. Blanc

“Reflection of the Season”

This new year reminds us that “our times are in [His] hand” and that His mercies are “new every morning; great is [His] faithfulness” (Psalm 31:15; Lamentations 3:22–23). As a college family, this means more than just flipping a calendar page; it means hearing again the call, “Whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus” (Colossians 3:17). At Davis College, our mission continues to be assisting the local church by preparing servant leaders who are rooted in biblical truth and committed to making disciples. This new semester is another gift from God for us to pursue that calling together with faith, courage, and joy. As you pray about how to contribute to this work, please also consider a gift to the Operation Full Harvest Scholarship Fund, which helps equip students who might not otherwise be able to afford preparation for ministry. May the Lord strengthen you to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” and to enter this year with a heart ready to serve wherever He leads you (Matthew 6:33).

As we celebrate this season of giving, consider how your support for our scholarship fund can extend that same grace to aspiring leaders—students who are called to make Christ known in their worlds. Every gift, no matter the size, helps remove barriers to biblical education and equips the next generation. Donations can be made securely online at Davis College.

New Semester & Snowcamp Season

Our Davis students have started their spring semester—and for some, their final semester with us! This is an exciting time for our students, as we have many events throughout the semester. Some of our students are helping Word of Life host Winter Snowcamp. Through this ministry, students are able to watch hundreds of kids and youth make life-changing decisions and take their next steps with Jesus. Please be praying for our students to be diligent in their studies as well as faithful in their work through Snowcamp.

Get Acquainted with Davis!

Student Feature – Jacob Conley

I came to Davis because I had heard a lot about it during my two years at the Bible Institute. During my second year, I originally applied to be an online student in the Pastoral Studies degree program. In the second semester, I realized that it might not be what I was looking for and decided to talk with some friends about what they were doing. Through friends who were also attending Davis, I changed my degree to Christian Ministries with an emphasis in Production Technologies.

Through my classes, God has been teaching me how to use technology for His glorification while still creating an atmosphere of fun. In other classes, God has shown me how Paul went through many hardships and yet continued spreading the gospel.

I see my future being shaped by my time at Davis by entering a professional production field—whether in a church or elsewhere—helping the team there while continuing to grow in my faith and showing others how to live out both their faith and vocation.

Staff Feature – Monica Schreiber

As Academic Dean at Davis College, I have served in this role for almost two years. I also teach online courses in English, Speech, Creative Writing, and Media Appreciation. I have been with Davis for fifteen years, beginning as an adjunct instructor on campus. The College holds special meaning for me, as both my husband and my mother are proud alumni.

What I love most about my job as Academic Dean is the strategic side—figuring out how to better equip our faculty, solving real challenges as they arise, and keeping everything aligned with our mission to prepare students for ministry. I also treasure the opportunities to step back into the classroom and connect directly with students.

The Lord has blessed me by surrounding me with wise colleagues with whom to serve. In return, my goal is to labor together to prepare servant leaders who love the Lord, think deeply, and serve effectively in ministry.

CCI Spotlight – Cassidy Fowler

At Davis, I studied Biblical Counseling and am currently serving in a Cross-Cultural Internship with Word of Life Panama.

During my second year at the Bible Institute, I decided to pursue Biblical Counseling with the intention of taking what I learned to the mission field after recognizing the need for discipleship here.

I am very thankful for the opportunity to learn from experienced biblical counselors and to grow in meeting people where they are through the lens of Scripture.

Please be praying for the youth in Panama to be open to the gospel and to grow in their relationship with the Lord.

Alumni Feature – Betty Eichelberger

In 1985, I graduated from Practical Bible Training School with a three-year certification in Bible and a minor in women’s ministries. In 2021, I completed my degree at Davis College with a bachelor’s degree in Religious Education.

God graciously calls me to share His love with the broken and suffering through the gospel of Christ. I am a simple vessel, willing to be used by God, and am blessed to serve as a daughter of the King. I currently serve through my local church in GriefShare, ministering to those who are grieving. It is both a blessing and a privilege to walk alongside the suffering, share the hope found in Christ, and provide practical support.

My husband and I also participate in ministry trips to support missionaries in the United States and Word of Life ministries in South Korea. My time at Practical Bible Training School and Davis College has been—and continues to be—foundational through daily practical application and discipleship with those I serve.

To me, Practical Bible Training School and Davis College are one and the same. Precious memories remain from those years—both the support of staff and professors and the bonds formed with friends and co-laborers in the ministry of Christ. My most precious memory was meeting my dear husband, Randy. God graciously granted us almost thirty-five years together. Because of Christ, our legacy continues. Praise be to God.

Student Ministry – Emma Lundrigan

“As a student at Davis College, I have had the opportunity to serve in several areas of ministry and am currently part of the Biblical Counseling Internship (BCI) through Word of Life’s Biblical Counseling Center. Davis College has played a meaningful role in preparing me for this ministry. Through my concentration in Biblical Counseling, I have learned both the foundations of counseling and the practical steps of walking with others biblically. The professors teach from a genuine love for Christ and for people, and their personal ministry experience has deeply shaped my learning. I have been able to apply what I am learning through counseling observation sessions and everyday conversations—listening well, responding with Scripture, and gently pointing others to the hope of the gospel. These experiences continue to grow my heart for counseling and my confidence in serving others faithfully.”
