October 2025
A Note from Dr. Blanc

In 2 Timothy 4:5, Paul exhorts, “As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”
These words remind us that ministry is not limited to the pulpit—it is a daily call to faithfulness, endurance, and Gospel witness.
As a college community dedicated to preparing servant-leaders, may we embrace this charge with humility and boldness, trusting that God equips those He calls. At Davis College, we believe that authentic leadership begins with service. As we prepare students for lives of ministry, we are committed to forming servant-leaders—men and women who lead not for recognition but in obedience to Christ and for the good of others.
In classrooms, chapels, athletics, and community outreach, we see the Spirit shaping hearts that are humble, courageous, and deeply rooted in the Gospel. May we continue to follow Jesus, who came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many (Mark 10:45).
Many of our students have responded to God’s call with courage and conviction, often at great personal sacrifice. Your gift to the Operation Full Harvest Scholarship Fund directly empowers these future ministers, missionaries, and servant-leaders to pursue their calling without financial hindrance. Please consider partnering with us in this vital work—your generosity helps shape lives for eternal impact.
Would you consider making a generous donation this month to support our scholarship fund? Your gift will help train students to become beacons of light in an increasingly dark world. Please click the giving link below—and thank you in advance for your support.

The Return and Recent Events

We are thrilled to welcome new and returning Davis students to campus as we begin a new school year! This fall, twenty-eight students have joined us on campus, eager to grow academically and spiritually. Our online students, joining from around the world, are also engaging in classes, internships, and ministry opportunities.
We recently concluded an exciting season of events, including Missions Conference and Homecoming! It was a joy to have our alumni back on campus and to share updates about what God is doing at Davis. During the Missions Conference, we commissioned new missionaries who will serve around the world—each using their God-given gifts to reach the unreached.

“I found out about Davis through my biblical counselor at the time. I had wanted to go into something like psychology or therapy, but she told me about the Biblical Counseling program at Davis, where I am now studying a concentration in Biblical Counseling and Youth Ministry.
Through my time here, the Lord has been opening my heart toward what I might pursue in the future, allowing me to develop my skills in both counseling and ministry. This year, I’m serving as an RA, finishing my senior year with hands-on experience. I hope to take what I’ve learned at Davis and apply it in a teen ministry setting—helping to provide comfort and love.”

“I am an adjunct faculty member and teach the Live Production class at Davis. My parents attended when it was called Practical Bible School, so I’ve known about Davis for a long time.
My favorite part of teaching is working with students and helping them deepen their understanding of this field. I see God at work in my life as I live out my faith by teaching and investing in students—not just in the classroom but day to day—so they’re equipped to use their gifts for God’s glory.
I serve Him by continuing to grow in my technical knowledge while leading others back to Him. It reminds me why I do what I do: to glorify God, my local church, my friends, and my family!”

Student Life

October is a busy month on campus! Students are deeply engaged in classes, weekly devotionals, President’s Chapels, Discipleship Groups, and local church ministries.
In President’s Chapel, Dr. Blanc has been unpacking our theme, Breakthrough (1 Thessalonians 5:17), offering practical examples of how we can experience spiritual breakthroughs in our daily walk with Christ.
Through weekly ministry opportunities, students are putting their learning into practice and gaining valuable ministry experience. We pray these experiences will strengthen the Church and prepare students for lifelong ministry.
The atmosphere on campus is encouraging—students are growing in their relationship with God and one another, creating a community marked by compassion and spiritual growth. Thank you for your continued prayers and investment in Davis College. Our students and staff appreciate it more than you know!
Concentration Highlight: Christian Counseling

Graduates of this concentration are equipped to serve as biblical counselors in Christian ministries or pursue further study in the field of counseling.
Student Ministry Spotlight

“My ministry as a Davis student involves serving at a local church with teens and children’s ministries. I also help disciple teen girls in our youth group!
As part of Davis’s Biblical Counseling concentration, I’ve gained valuable insight into how to disciple others well. What I’ve learned has impacted my daily life—I now look for more opportunities to serve and support others.
In my dorm, I’ve opened my room as a safe space for anyone who needs to talk—or just wants some hot cocoa!”
