The Lady Falcons of Davis College continued their hot start of the season with a 3-0 route at Cayuga Community College Spartans on Wednesday evening.

The Falcons have played 3 games this so far on the season, all on the road, and have come away with a victory in each one.  To date, the Falcons have won 9 sets compared to their opponents 3.

In this contest, the first set was played pretty evenly before Davis College pulled away at the end taking the set by a score of 25-19.  As the match continued, however, the attack of the Falcons was too much for the Spartans to handle, as they took the next 2 sets by scores of 25-13 and 25-10, respectively.

The Falcons had 20 kills as a team on the night, led by 6 from reigning HVIAC Player of the Week, Linnea Sweeney.  Sweeney also contributed 11 digs and an assist on the night.  Loryn Sanders led the team in assists with 14 to go with 3 kills and 2 service aces and Erica Stockwell had a big night with 41 digs and a whopping 8 service aces.

The Falcons (3-0) return home and get ready for a big home tri-match this Saturday.  They have two HVIAC opponents coming into town.  Davis will take on the 2017 HVIAC Champions, The College of New Rochelle (CNR), at 1:00 p.m.  Following that match will be a neutral game with CNR and Pratt Institute at 3:00 p.m.  To cap off the night, the Falcons will take on Pratt at 5:00 p.m.
