Women’s Volleyball Clinches Two Seed in Conference Tournament

The Lady Falcons finished the regular season on an exciting note, taking home second place in the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) after their 3-1 win over King’s College. The team ended the regular season with a record of 9-5 which is the program’s first winning season since its return in 2012.

The team has continuously received votes in the USCAA coaches polls that recognizes the top 20 teams in the nation. They also finished the season as number 10 out of 55 colleges nationwide in the USCAA overall standings.

Jamie Brown finished at the top of the list for total digs and digs per set in HVIAC play while Brooke Lewandowski also topped the HVIAC for number of kills. Loryn Sanders was second in assists per set for the season.

The HVIAC Women’s Volleyball Championship Tournament takes place this Saturday, November 4, at The College of New Rochelle.  The number one seed and tournament host New Rochelle takes on King’s College at 2:00 p.m.  The Lady Falcons will take on the number three seed Pratt Institute at 4:00 p.m. The championship match will take place at approximately 6:15 p.m. that evening.
