The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund-IHE/Student Aid provides funding to institutions to provide emergency financial aid grants to students
whose lives have been disrupted due to COVID-19 under the CARES, CRRSAA, & ARP Act.

DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION GRANT FUNDS

Davis College signed and returned to the Department of Education the Certification and Agreement and the assurance and intended to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Sections 18004 (a)(1) and (a)(4) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students. The College received $135,672.00 from Section (a)(1), and $206,791 from Section (a)(4) from the Department according to the institution’s Certification and Agreement [for] Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students. The College also received Institutional portion of HEERF $439,792.00 from Section (a)(1); $33,799.00 from Section (a)(2); $357,605.00 from Section (a)(3).

Davis College disbursed the Emergency Financial Aid Grants of $464,663.00 to 178 students as of August 24, 2023. These funds were meant to help students pay expenses for technology, health care, childcare, course materials, rent, food, moving, or other expenses incurred during their studies at Davis College. These funds helped students with unanticipated expenses or income loss that occurred throughout the semesters. Students were not required to provide the College with any information on how the grant was used
