After winning the night before on the road, the Davis College women’s volleyball team got off to a slow start and dropped their home opener on Thursday night to SUNY Broome in a non-conference match by a score of 3-1.

The Falcons lost the first two sets by scores of 25-15 and 25-20.  But in the third set they got going as Linnea Sweeney and Brooke Lewandowski each had 4 kills and the Falcons took the set 25-19.  The 4th and deciding set went back and forth before Broome’s Lauren Carpenter made a run of great serves and the visiting team closed the set by a score of 25-15.

Davis College volleyball returns to action on Tuesday, September 12, as they visit Penn State Hazleton at 7:00 p.m.
